We posted a while back about music Discovery, and how you go about checking out new music. One of the best ways to find new artists, or just look up that song you’ve been dying to hear again is Spotify. Spotify is a big deal in the UK, and only in recent weeks has opened up in the United States. It acts as a music player, which can play all your local files just like iTunes, but the added layer is the fact that you can type in just about any artist, song, or album into the search bar, and stream any song you can find (up to around 20 hours a month) for FREE! Spotify also has built in social tools that connect it with Facebook, that allow you to connect with your friends, and share or suggest music with each other. Since I got hold of my Spotify invite, I have not opened any other media player since…it just works! You can register for an invite by going to Spotify.com and entering your email address into the wait list…but who wants to wait?
