What Are You Listening To?

Since this is a music blog, I thought it would be a cool feature to start finding out what people in our community are listening to. What CD do you blast in your car? What album do you keep going back to on your iPod? The best thing about music is that there is always just the right song to fit your mood. In the future, I’d like to get input from our team and community, but since I just came up with the idea, I figured I’d go ahead and start . The albums I have been listening to lately are:

The Technicolors – Who You Are : If you haven’t heard of The Technicolors, you are definitely missing out. They are fronted by one of our talented guitarists Brennan Smiley, and these guys are the real deal. This album is so well written and performed, it’s definitely a must listen!

Needtobreathe – Daylight : Often times I find myself getting really into an artist, and getting lost in their new material, and sometimes I end up missing their older stuff because of it. Recently, I went back and bought Needtobreathe’s older album Daylight. It took a few plays to grow on me, since the sound is a bit different, but now I can’t put it down.

I asked a couple members of our Worship Arts team what they are currently listening to, and got a few answers:

From Seth Willey (Viola/Strings) -

On the Christian side: Brandon Heath, Mat Kearney, and JJ Heller. On the non-CCM side: Peter Bradley Adams, Josh Radin, The Civil Wars – lots of folk/indie! Also, big The Band Perry fan.

From Jenna Milazzo (Vocal Team) -

I have been listening to a lot of Robbie Seay Band’s newest album Miracle, Audrey Assad and Needtobreathe’s album The Heat.
