The Songwriting Process – Brian Wurzell

We are super fortunate at Cornerstone to have incredibly talented people in our music ministry, and that comes from the top down. Our Worship Directors at Cornerstone, Brian Wurzell and Ryan Axtell, are both intensely passionate about what they do, and are constantly working to better themselves in their art. This past year, Ryan wrote and recorded an amazing album called “This Valley” that I’m sure most of you have heard. What you may not have heard, is that our own Brian Wurzell has a worship project in the works this year as well with T.J. Hill (from Future of Forestry)! I have had the privelege of hearing a taste of what is to come on that project, and let me tell you, we’re in for something special! With that said, I thought it would be cool to find out the unique songwriting process that Ryan and Brian take on, and they ended up being quite different in their approach! Today we’ll hear from Brian, and Ryan’s take will be up thursday. Enjoy!
