The Sunday Setlist: 4-8-2012
Good Morning friends! All I can say is Wow. I truly hope you were able to join us in our Easter Celebration this past Saturday and Sunday. What a wonderful time to reflect upon the cross and the empty Tomb with our church family. It was definitely an inspiring gathering, with a message about Peter from Pastor Linn, some great worship from the band, and an incredibly poem by Amena Brown. There were some moments [...]

What Are You Listening To?
Good morning friends, It’s Tuesday, new music Day . There are a few new albums out this week, and I have not had too much time yet to really dig into them, but one new release that I’ve been looking forward to for a little while now is the Remix Album from the incredibly talented Kye Kye. Whether you have directly heard of them or not, most of us Cornerstone Folks have seen them play [...]

Song Spotlight: Hillsong United – Awakening
Good morning to you, I hope today finds you well! This morning on my drive to work I found myself once again going back to Hillsong United’s stellar album Aftermath. It is definitely some of their best work, and one of the best worship albums I own. On it, they have a version of a song Chris Tomlin wrote a few years back with Reuben Morgan called Awakening. Chris Tomlin had the song on his [...]

Album of the Month: Passion – White Flag
The collection of Worship Artists that Passion has put together is simply astounding. It seems they grow a little each year, and every new addition is incredibly talented: Chris Tomlin, Christy Nockels, Matt Redman, Charlie Hall, David Crowder, Steve Fee, Kristian Stanfill, the list goes on and on. Their newest effort is called ‘White Flag’ is one of my favorite albums of theirs yet. It kicks off strong with Kristian Stanfill’s ‘Not Ashamed’ which we [...]

Song Spotlight: Jesus Culture – One Thing Remains
Jesus Culture is a powerful movement in contemporary Christian music right now. The music they record is so raw and real. I love that they don’t seem to care about the polish of their sound as much as they do about being in the moment. Not to say that their albums don’t sound great, they just put so much heart in their music you can tell they mean every word they sing. I love getting [...]
