Album of the Month – Hillsong United – Aftermath

Cornerstone Church Loves Hillsong United. They are some of the most passionate and talented people out there making music to glorify our God. Their new album Aftermath, is only their second studio project, with the rest of their albums being recorded live. I wanted to spend some time with this album and really let it all soak in before I considered sharing it as our Album of the Month. After owning it for a few weeks, I can tell you what a brilliant piece of work it is. The opening track, Take Heart, sets the tone for the record in a powerful way. “All our Heartache, and all our pain, God our Healer, He has overcome. All our burdens and all our shame, God our Freedom, He has overcome.” In the midst of our darkest times, God has already won. We have already shared the title track, Aftermath on our blog before, and that is another standout track on the album. Because of what Christ has done for us, we get to live in that Aftermath, rather than the aftermath of our sin. Christ changed our future by giving His life. If you have yet to hear this album, please take the time, I promise you you won’t regret it.
